Came separated so you take sticker cover off brushes and then place inside the holder.the lid sits in notches, it does not twist on. There was a crack with a piece chipped off by the brush holder but i glued it back together. It would have worked fine even with chip broken but i wanted to try to glue it. Bristles are stiff and seem like they will clean nicely.
