So it was thought to transfer data from the smartphone to the external 2.5" inch 4TB hard drive and vice versa. This works great. Unfortunately, you cannot delete anything on the hard drive. Unfortunately, the adapter also has a loose contact when I move it to the left. But it can be a Monday product.

With one cable, my drive would run at usb2 or usb3 speeds, depending on the orientation of the usb-c plug. With another cable, the drive would not work at all. Both cables worked perfectly when connecting the drive directly to a usb-c port on the same computer.

Works for charging & i suppose data transfer. I have not directly tested it, but it is able to transmit my wireless microphone into my computer just fine, so i suppose it is decently high speed. It comes a little snug on most usb-c plugs, but within a week it has gotten to a perfect level and has not gotten any looser. An absolute steal for the price.
