Without problem, it works very well with 2.5, there is no need for power with a 3.5 hard drive, there is no need for 12V power.

There is no power switching/conversion in it. At your own risk, take 5V from USB and 12V from an external block (respectively, in order, which may make the HDD not like it at all).

Does not work with 3TB disks

Good its good for 5v hard disk and i connected 12v hdd but its not show in my computer.... when i give 12v power its working slowly but not show it in my computer

It does not recognize my wester digital purple 1 tb drive. Old drives with 40 gb are recognized. So it does not work as expected.

Everything works. I connected a 3.5-inch 1TB hard drive to the phone, everything worked. Works like a very fast flash drive. This sata to usb 3.0 adapter cable is a solid product. I tested it with both my laptop hdds and a pc hdd, and it worked without any issues. For the pc hdd, i needed to connect a 12v power adapter, but that’s expected. I’ve been using it for about a week now, and so far, no problems at all. The connection is stable, and the transfer speeds are as expected. Overall, a great adapter for those who need to connect hdds or ssds via usb. # Recommended!

SSD and HDD 3.5 connect without issues. For HDD 3.5, additional 12 V power is required. I haven't checked the speed.

This item does not work at all

Cheap doesn't stay connected to drives. Delivery service is horrible!! Left my package unattended, no contact with me, in hallway of my building. Luckily i stepped out and found package laying in hallway. Unacceptable!

The best brand I have used, it works for 2'5" discs as seen in the photo and if you want them for 3'5" discs, it's the same model but it also comes with a power supply to move the large disc. They don't deteriorate from changing disks and the USB port is reliable, I only buy this model anymore.

A life saver if you binge old hard drives in second hand markets, no complaints and in working order. Now i can have fun observing years of virus and malware in old machines!

Even with transformer do not feed hdd, works really well with ssd. So this in mind left short to my needs with hdds :-(

The item says it comes with the external 12V power supply included, but it arrived without it. I used a 12V 2A power supply that I bought locally, and it didn't work. There is no sign of receiving the 12V voltage. I checked the status of the power supply with a multimeter and it is fine, but the adapter doesn't work, and there is no reading from the SATA drives.

The sata-usb 3.0 adapter itself can be used without any problems, but the quality of the ac adapter is poor, and even when a 3.5-inch hdd is connected, it is not recognized stably and cannot be used properly.

My third buy of these units. Brilliant for repurposing old hard drives as external memory and backup. Be sure to use power adapters for 3.5 inch hdds and if using usb hubs. Arrive in aussie land in good time.

3.5HDD pulls with power.But it does not allow to split the disk.It is suitable for the treatment of old discs.Maybe brother works.

A good adapter, meets its specifications. Additional 12V power supply for connecting 3.5 hard drives, and for 2.5 SSDs, it is not necessary, the speed meets USB 3.0 standards.

Prised with a 12V continuous output power adapter for the power supply of mechanical hard drives (SSDs do not need it). Arrived in about a week. Well packaged. Perfectly functional. I recommend.

5-inch drive operates without issues with J-Micron chip The speed also reaches USB3.0 speed.

Well packed and exactly as ordered. I have not used this as it was purchased as a gift. I cannot, therefore, give a usage review, but i can say it appears to be a quality product. If i ever need to borrow it, i will give the review an updated report.

I bought it with a power adapter, but the 3.5 inch HDD is not connected. I changed the adapter to another one, but it doesn't connect. 2.5 inches connected without power. And there is no separate power switch on the main body.

The 2.5-inch is recognized, but the speed is slower than USB2.0, and the 3.5-inch is not recognized even when connected to a 12V adapter. Delivery is fast and refunds are very quick.
