It is used in both L and N cases for 2 wires. You need to install a wireless receiver near the light (not next to the wired switch attached to the wall). A small flat screwdriver is needed. Mini driver required Leave the existing wired switch on and install it, then turn it on/off with the wireless switch. Be sure to press the black button on the wireless receiver to complete the setup. It took some time to connect the wireless receiver and switch because I couldn't see the explanation for pressing that button.
